From April 11-14, Blackburn College Performing Arts will perform "URINETOWN", by Mark Hollman and Greg Kotis. Performances will begin at 7:30 on Thursday, April 11 through Saturday, April 14. There will be a 2:00 matinee on Sunday, April 15. Among the cast is Rob Weis, of Carlinville, IL, Blackburn's Counselor, plays the role of Old Man Strong.

URINETOWN is a hilarious comedy musical about a town with water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, which has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public facilities, but are required to pay to use them. Amongst the citizens, a hero decides to lead a revolution to lead them all to freedom.

Tickets will be sold at the door an hour before the curtain time, and seating is first-come-first-serve. Admission is free for all Blackburn students, staff and faculty, $2.00 for high school students, and $7.00 for general admission.

Founded in 1837, Blackburn College is a four-year, Presbyterian-related, co-educational liberal arts college located in Carlinville, Illinois. One of the seven work colleges in the U.S., Blackburn is the only one with a student managed Work Program.
